Credit Score Restored

By | April 10, 2019

Well, that didn’t take long! Recently, I wrote about the fact that my credit score dropped. In short, my mortgage was transferred from one company to the next. However, it took some time for the new company to show up on my credit report.

During the transition, I kept reading horror stories online about how this same thing happened to other people and their score never recovered. So, I was concerned.

Thankfully, now that my credit report accurately reflects my mortgage information, my score is back up to where it was before (or a little bit higher). This is especially important since I have a goal of buying a house this year. So, I watch my score like a hawk!

Conclusion

I didn’t want this to be a long post. I just wanted to report the fact that my credit score is back up.

Although I admit I check my credit report and score way too often (I check it every week), I do think it’s important to regularly check or monitor your report. After all, it’s not too uncommon for there to be inaccurate information on there. You will also be able to ascertain whether someone is stealing your identity.

In any case, having a good credit score is important, especially if you want to borrow money to buy a house, and that’s why I vigorously monitor my score. The only thing left for me to do is decide if I want to go ahead and freeze my credit report.
