Debt Payoff Report – April 2024

By | April 27, 2024

Well, it’s that time of the month when I have to report on my debt status. I am definitely not looking forward to this debt payoff report. After all, I recently posted on the fact that I had to pay my taxes with a credit card. Also, just when things started looking up, Murphy’s Law took effect, twice. So, April was a very expensive month. I for one am glad it’s almost over. But whether the report is good or bad, my plan is to be transparent. So, without further adieu, let’s see my current debt status.

Debt Payoff Progress

Here is the current status of my debts.

The Green Sky Credit Card is on track to be paid off this year. That will allow me to keep the promotional rate balance of 0.00% Otherwise, the interest rate would have been 25%.

The Chase Personal Credit Card is the bane of my existence.  That’s the card I had to use to pay my taxes. So the balance in April is about $5000 more than it was in March. It is what it is. I’m practically maxed out on this card and my credit score has suffered as a result.

I don’t think I can withstand Murphy showing up again. I’m practically down to my last dime. So, hopefully, next month, I’ll have a better report to make.

Final Thoughts

It feels weird being so low on cash. I am practically living paycheck to paycheck and sometimes robbing Peter to pay Paul. All I can do is hope that the next few months will give me some reprieve now that we are in the busy season.

I do have plans to increase my income but it may still take a few weeks to see if my application was approved. In the mean time, I will try to pay down my credit card debt as much as possible.
