Debt Payoff Report – December 2023

debt payoff

This is the last report for December 2023 I will post. It is time for the debt payoff report. Over the next 5 months, things are going to be tough. I have limited income coming in as I have no job. Also, my expenses remain high. However, each month, I consistently pay down on my debt. My credit card bill, however, remains high. Unfortunately, I’m not really able to make a dent into my credit card. So, the balance stays right around $20,000. Still, I am laser focused on paying that down and I suspect that beginning about April or so, I will be making substantial progress to getting rid of my credit card debt. But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Now, it’s time for me to post my debt payoff report for December 2023.

Debt Payoff Progress

Here is the current status of my debts.

There are 3 debts shown, but I am really only focused on the first 2 for right now. By the end of March, the first Green Sky credit card will be paid off. So, come April, I am hoping that I don’t have to contribute personal funds to keep Calypso Memories afloat. If I don’t have to, then I could take that personal funds and apply it to my credit card. That’s what I am really hoping for!

I may have to contribute personal funds for Emerald’s Corner, but I am hoping I won’t have to do that starting May. I’ll try to use those summer months to pay down on my credit card. Unless I get a job, I am likely a few years off paying my credit card, but that’s ok. As long as I am making progress, I am happy.

Final Thoughts

I am hoping for a good year in 2024. I am laser focused on keeping my condo expenses low so that I can hopefully turn a profit, or at least sustain less losses than I did in 2023.

My credit card debt is high and so is the interest I am paying on that debt. Quite frankly, I am mostly paying the interest for right now and I still use the credit card from time-to-time. But, I am confident that I will be able to slowly make progress on paying down my balance starting in April.
